Astrid Vineyard was born in Vienna, Austria and raised backstage at the Vienna State Opera House, where she fell in love with the music, art, dance and magic of the theater. Her mother, American opera singer Paulette Vineyard-Herbich, always told her that she sang before she talked and danced before she walked. In high school she fell in love with acting, and unable to choose between music and drama, she studied musical theater at the Conservatory of Arts in Vienna, adding dance into the mix. After completing the 4-year program she started acting and singing in theaters around Europe. She has performed in My Fair Lady, Much Ado About Nothing, A Little Night Music, 1984, The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, A Midsummer Night's Dream among others. To expand her career as an actor and performer she came to Los Angeles for the first time in 2010. She fell in love with the city and all the crazy, creative people in it and decided to make it her home in 2013. She hasn't regretted it for a single day since.
